SWISS STREET WORKOUT & CALISTHENICS 2023
The SSWC Freestyle competition season 2023 comes along with a new competition format (new since 2022). There will be no more video qualifications necessary to qualify for the Swiss Championship. Instead, there are three live Freestyle Qualifiers hosted by our partner teams throughout Switzerland. Once qualified, you will receive an invite for the Swiss Championship and get a chance to qualify for the World Championship. The whole procedure is described below.
Stage 1: Regional Freestyle Qualifier
The SSWC Freestyle competition season 2023 starts with three live Regional Freestyle Qualifiers (no more video qualifications). Everyone living in Switzerland is allowed to participate in only two (2) Qualifiers. The Qualifiers are hosted by our partner teams: Genesis Streetworkout, Barknights and Street Workout Concept and are judged by our regional freestyle judging team: Nick Christen, Iliesse Belasri and Luca Ernst. The judges are supervised by the Head Judge Mika Herzog, who will also be supervising the national freestyle judging team. The judges will score the athletes performance in the categories: static, dynamic, combination. Every athlete will get a 2 minute window to give their best performance and score as many points as possible. The ranking of each athlete will be uploaded onto a National Ranking board with two categories in total: male and female athletes. The best 10 male athletes and the best 5 female athletes will get an invite to compete at the National Freestyle Championship.
