National Championship 2023

This year the National Championship is hosted in the capital of Switzerland at UNIK Training in Bern (BE).

The Freestyle judging team consists of Viktor Kamenov (Bulgaria), Melanie Driessen (Netherlands) and Thanh Nguyen (Germany). The head judge Mika Herzog (Germany) will supervise those judges. The judges will score the athletes performance in the categories: static, dynamic, combination. Every athlete will get 2 times a 2 minute window to give their best performance and score as many points as possible in all categories. The male and female athlete with the highest score overall will be titled "SSWC Freestyle National Champion 2023".

The Pull & Push judging team consists of Eric Sovers (Street-workout.com) and Dani Brunner (D-URBAN Training). The judges will score the athletes performance according to the Rulebook. Every athlete will get 1 slot to give their best performance and score as many points as possible. The male and female athlete with the highest score overall will be titled "SSWC Pull & Push National Champion 2023".

How to qualify for the National Freestyle Championship

Attend a Regional Freestyle Qualifier
Perform your 2 minutes Freestyle routine
The Regional Freestyle Judges will give you an individual score
Score will be uploaded here
At the end of all 3 qualifiers, the following athletes will be qualified to the National Freestyle Championship

Best 5 female athletes
Best 10 male athletes

Athletes may compete at two (2) Qualifiers to get a chance to improve their score. Their best score will be counting towards the Qualification for the National Freestyle Championship held on 24.06.2023 in Bern (BE).

How to qualify for the National Pull & Push Championship

Attend a Regional Pull & Push Qualifier
Perform as many reps as possible (see Rulebook).
The Regional Pull & Push Judges will give you an individual score
Score will be uploaded here
At the end of all 3 qualifiers, the following athletes will be qualified to the National Pull & Push Championship:

Best 5 female athletes
Best 10 male athletes

Athletes may compete at two (2) Qualifiers to get a chance to improve their score. Their best score will be counting towards the Qualification for the National Pull & Push Championship held on 24.06.2023 in Bern (BE).

Next stage: World Championship

The male and female winners of the National Championships will automatically be qualified to participate at the World Championship in Freestyle, Power and Strength 2023 in Riga, Latvia on August 22th to 26th 2023.

Review World Championship 2022 (LINK)

The winners of the Swiss Street Workout National Freestyle Championship 2022 were Julian Pagel and Leandra Ruffner. They represented Switzerland at the World Street Workout Championship in Freestyle 2022.

Julian placed 7th in the Qualifier round but did not make it to the finals (only top 5 per weight category).
Leandra made it to the finals and placed 5th in her weight category. Congrats to you both!
